Bloating and color loss. Please help my betta.

Mr. Fishy has been like this for several weeks now. I've done several water changes and tried keeping him in a smaller 1 gallon tank with daily water changes and betta revive. It was hard to get a decent picture, but I think you can see the bump on his right side. This bump is the only deformity on his body, and his scales seem normal everywhere else. He is starting to lose color in his bottom fin though. He is very lethargic, but responds to my presence and has a ravenous appetite. I feed him once in the morning and once at night with a few pellets. The temperature is kept in between 78 and 80.

Any ideas what this could be or how to cure it?

That honestly looks like some kind of internal growth to me. Like a tumor or something. His stomach would be right under his chin. I'm not sure if there's anything to be done for a tumor, short of making him as comfortable as you can. Maybe someone else will have a different idea?
