some incentive

So you all know i planned to work mostly with Black. But after reading about breeding for quality fish, its given me some incentive to do the same. Ive been looking at some of my boys, and only the young males have the potential to produce nice quality. My multi colour crowntail, (he's tiny), has got a perfect dorsal (i compared with pics) and even rays. In fact, his tail and dorsal are perfect. BUT, the anal fin is a problem (messy) and not enough web reduction. I'll take pics when he's in full flare (only time that'll be is when he spots a female:P) the double tails will be tricky though. All three have even lobes but the split does not go all the way to the base of the tail. Though the black lace male looks true. Then its a matter of getting the red wash out my line of blacks. Any suggestions how i can do this?

Keep breeding the ones with the least red. You should get a few with totally no reds in each spawn. Unfortunately they might have been the ones that didn't make it.
