Betta now coming to top

I have a new betta. Had the betta for about a week. The betta never comes to the top. It is almost impossible to feed him. another issue is he spends all he time at the back of the tank. Like he will keep swimming into the back trying to get through the tank. How can I get him to come to the front and the top?

Maybe he is still trying to get used to it. It might take longer for some bettas. Just give him sinking pellets, he'll probably be able to find them then. Keep visiting him and trying to get him to come up to you. Maybe try putting a bloodworm in there? I don't know if that will work since he isn't going up to the top yet, but it might since he will need to get air. You can feed him live bloodworms, just watch him a while when you do to see if he's interested. Those will sink.

Frozen bloodworms may be easier to find.. most pet stores have a small freezer in the fish section that should sell them in cubes or packs.
