Now if I can only figure out what to do. I'm trying to decide if I just want to use AQ salt or if I want to give him some methylene blue...

It seems like he must have been shocked by something environmental, then. If he eats later on, then he'll probably be fine. Perhaps you should make your own topic, Ajones. :)

I would, but everyone else in this forum has more important, pressing emergencies than I do. There isn't really much anyone can say if he's just acting strange for no reason. ._. So I'll sit around in here helping others until an idea comes to my mind as to what I'm going to do with my little guy.

I'm glad to hear that your little finned friend is back to normal. :) Keep us updated.

Pin holes on fins is a form of tail rot. How often are you changing your water? They may be forming as your water becomes unhealthy and then healing when you do water changes. Something unhealthy in the water (may not necessarily be ammonia) would explain some of the other symptoms as well. It is always tough when your Betta does not show any visual marks to indicate a disease, but you know something is wrong. Daily, large water changes is the place to start and then go from there. Move him into a temp. smaller container if this would be to big of a pain on your regular tank.

It's not necessarily a form of fin rot--pin holes or rips in the interior part of the fin can be from the fish "blowing" the fin due to too much flaring, which would be consistent with Ajones' situation since the fish's behavior has changed from fairly docile to extremely territorial. I think you should read Ajones' topic on the subject since this thread has very limited information: http://www.bettafish.com/showthread.php?t=51775

I agree with the fin blowing idea.

As a reward, I gave him a new fake plant from my sister's tank that he LOVES. So happy, so happy.
Great to hear hes doing okay!
