PK's are supposed to have the spade tail but apparently people breeding them have forgotten that lol. Nice looking pair, what are your goals; just healthy fry? You'll most likely end up with fry that all have red fins.

Okay! That's fine then. (I'm a lady btw but no worries!)

Yes it is possible but they are a variation of the Veiltails. PK's are just short finned VT's or the other way around I guess since we started with PK's, VT's are the long tailed version of PK's lol. VT's can have many different looks to them including spades and round tails.

To be fully considered a Spade tail, the tail needs to be fully pointed and the spread needs to be 180 degree's like a HM would be. Also the tail should be even on both sides of the spread, I'll try to show you what I mean.

This boy below is considered a very nice Spade, his caudal comes to a point and the tail is completely symmetrical, also all of his fins meet which is also necessary.

Here is another that is very close, not the best Spade but very close. He doesn't quite reach 180 degree's but he is symmetrical at least!

And here is a regular VT, notice how his tail droops and his tail is not symmetrical? He has a nice 180 degree spread at least and his fins meet but he doesn't have the point nor the symmetrical tail to be a Spade.

No worries, I get it all the time actually. Apparently 'lilnaugrim' is too masculine to be feminine
