I guess I just have to accept that Caesar simply will never let his tail grow back. It's been about 9 months since he's had a full tail. He always either bites or thrashes around so hard that it splits. I give up. I've done everything I can to help him grow it back, but it just won't let it! I mean, he's still otherwise healthy, seems happy, and has a great appetite. He can swim just fine.
Of course I will still keep his water sparkling clean so he doesn't get a infection, but I just can't get my hopes up that , "OHOH, his tail is
almost all back!!" Because then he destroys it every time D:
I've had Caesar for well over a year now and he's my biggest fish with the longest fins ever. Here's some pics from his freshly ripped tail </3 He has had in ripped and partially grown back over a dozen times for sure....I can see scars and messed up colouration on his tail fin from all the regrowth.
On another note, on the last picture you can also see in his bottom fin that it's a little white a opaque. It's been like that since the beginning of the year (became like that out of nowhere), but now it's slowly filling with colour. Anyone else had their betta's fins do this?
