Have any of you ever had problems with arcrilic scratching or leaking? I am thinking about getting an eclipse three gallon. but I heard that arcrilic scratches. Does anyone have any comments.
Acrylic does scratch much easier than glass, however if it's well taken care of, and not scrubbed or cleaned with any rough surfaced clothes or sponges, it should remain looking nice for a long time.
I have the eclipse 5gal hex.. I've only scratched it once because I was trying to get some gunk off the outside with a razor blade and wasn't paying attention to what I was doing. Treat it as you would glass and be gentle with it, and it'll be just fine.
