i know they're missing their jaws. the top jaw is visably not there, and where the mouth used to be, is white flesh.

Fl is really pale now, tail biting, he's bloated, and his scales are a bit "ridged" Dropesy?

Can the fish still eat and function normally with these injuries?
If they can no longer eat--the most humane thing would be to put them down.

Spot treatment with an antiseptic might be helpful if they're still being eaten away, but you need to assess the quality of life the fish will have without their mouthparts..

Thankfully Astrada, yes, my boys are still eating and breathing, and more thankfully they aren't being eaten away, like they haven't gottenn worse nor gotten better.

My fishys have gotten a bit bloated cause i haven't been pre-soaking em' (shame on me) but they seem to be doing fine ever since I have started.

Cleaning tank today, i'll start spot-treating on Ds, see how it goes...

What do you mean assess the quality of life?

I believe Ada means if they can function without pain or struggle... basically if they're able to live normally or if you'll have to euthanize them.

Oh, this morning I found FL bloated, and his scales are starting to ridge up. He cant swim. I think hes gonna die ... :( If hes still alive when i come back home, I'm gonna put him down... DS is fine, though.
