Why is my fishie turning white!? He apparently already marbeled and idk whats happening right now? Help!?

first of all, this should be under diseases & emergencies
second of all, we need more info. is his color fading away completely, like getting duller? or does he have white spots? explain. what does the white look like? what are his living and tank conditions? more info please.

Yeah this should be in Diseases & Emergencies, but on the topic of the fish if he is just pale looking he could be stressed are there any other fish around or reflective things or did you add anything new to his tank?

Bettas can change color as they grow up, but it is more likely due to stress. We really need more information...any change in behavior? Still eating? Did you change something in the tank recently? How big is the tank? When was the last time you did a water change and ho much?

XD if he's a marble he WONT stop changing. I heard a marble betta was sent to the a IBC show and when it got there it wa sone solid color.

- 5 gallon tank
- none planted / artificial
- He does eat (like b4)
- I recently added Bobby (My Otto)
- Changed the heater
- I had put a bubbler a bit, stopped it

- I also had tried a new kind of food

Thats pretty much all I can think of right now...

My guess is it is stress and maybe increased levels of ammmonia due to the intro of the otto. He might not like having to share his tank. This reinforces what has been suggested in your other thread that you probably should give the otto back to the fish store. It could be some of the other changes as well, but my best guess is he will color up again if you remove the otto. Have you noticed any changes in your Bettas behavior?
