Talking Site Recognition

This site is so great with som much more potential...I thought there may be a way to increase the site population!?

I say this weekend we load the internet with www.bettafish.com links around the web.

Word of mouth is the most popular mode of advertisement. Tell your fellow betta lovers about this site! Get other betta lovers online involved from other sites and other blogs...

I will try and get 5 new members by the end of the weekend as a goal! LEt se how many more members we can get on this wicked site...

i do that. Every month or so I'll spend a few days on yahooanswers, answering betta questions about why their bettas are sick when they are in 1/2 gallon tanks that haven't been cleaned in weeks, then I always highly recommend that the people visit this site and another fish keeping website.

The only issue is that sometimes when there is a flood of clueless newbies, I can get a bit exasperated. Having them slowly trickle in seems best for people's health. (lol, I was slighly joking about that, I promise ;) )

Personally, I think we don't have to do that.

Go to Google (Right Now! Yes, you...x3) and search Betta Fish. Guess what the 1st or 2nd website is...

I spread the word in person :) People come to me when they ask about getting bettas (lol it's funny, I am one of the few that doesn't have one..but I am called the betta 'expert'..I'm so not, but I learn from here!)

When people want to get bettas, I send them here!

I usually link back here from the videos I post of my tanks and from my signature on other forums.

I found this site via bloo's preferred method (google!). I'd be really tempted to around Wal-mart/Petco/Petsmart and stick a weblink on all the Betta's there. If not for this site I'd have have 2 dead fish within a couple of days.
