Plakats and Double-tails

So, it just so turns out a betta breeder is coming next Sunday and she has some very pale plakat girls for sale. The reason I got Faust was for breeding purposes. I am trying to start a light-colored DBT line.

If I bred a PK to Faust, would that make the fry's fins shorter? If there were any double-tails, I would breed them to their father when they grew up. But I'm not sure about this.

Either way, it should be fine, because PK's are some of my favourites anyway.

Yes and no, depending on how you select breed them. DTxPK = some of both + some mixed. You need to take the F1 you like and inbreed siblings or to father. You will get good DT in the third generation.

DT x PK can improve fins and body. But you need to be patient.

Good luck.
