Ya I'm kind of worried that people would buy them randomly and have no idea how to take care of them. It's not like going to the petstore. One of the 8th grade teachers recently got a betta for her classroom. It's cool, but it makes me nervous if you know what I mean. One of the spanish teachers had a betta once and I use to stop by like every week to make sure it was doing ok. She took really good care of it (ten gallon tank with a filter), but as far as I could tell, she didn't really do any research. I had to save the betta from SBD. I'll try to stop by the new betta during my BCIS class, but I don't want to annoy the teachers :)
Sorry I got off topic, but my point is, the bettas could end up in the wrong hands.
