Betta Death

This is the picture my trans shipper Jennifer Viveros sent me of my HMPK female. I had her board her and another fish for a week while I had to go out of town, and she just emailed me to tell me the female had died this morning. She didn't know what had caused it, possibly an infection due to her red stomach, so I was wondering if anyone here knows what this is for future reference for myself? Sorry, I don't know anything about the water type ect except for this picture she sent me.

Red stomach, I have only ever seen this in fish with a severe bacterial infection..

Are they going to replace the dead fish?

Yes, thankfully. It took a bit of arguing from Jennifer but they are giving me a replacement. He just kept saying the fish was perfectly healthy when he sent her out, and that was really his only arguement.

Good.

Just because it was healthy when it was shipped out DOES not mean its going to stay healthy during shipping (they should do).

Glad they are sending you another, lets hope this one goes better

I'm sorry about your female. I'm glad they are replacing her, though.
