Sponge filters are good I hear :) Not sure how expensive, but I cant imagine they'd be too much ;D

I would invest into an air pump and 2 sponge filters for the tank. 10 gallons need's to have a filter, and it really need's one when dividers are involved. They do not let water pass threw as easy as they look.
And dividing a 10 gallon 3 ways is not to much, If theres 3 dividers that makes 4) 2.5 gallon sections. Which is plenty enough room... The 2 sponge filters you put in each end section so the surface of the water dont get that slime on it like everyone has ran into with divided aquariums..
