if i can find my camara but most likely not but now im papranoid because i dont know if its to hot and he is just sitting on bottom its worrying me ):

wash your finger without soap, then put it in the water. The water should feel on the cooler side, but not cold. If it's room temperature or higher, you've got a problem. All my tanks are at 80 and they feel cool when I touch them because our bodies are at much higher temps that the items around us.

turn down the heater or turn it off. But don't change the temp. suddenly or that WILL kill him.

ya i unplugeed it because to start the water was warm when i put it in and that heater was making it worst so i guess i will pedorotically turn it on and off base temp is apprentally 79 degrees but i dont think its turing it off right should i keep it off throue out the night and turn it on in the cold morings?

hmm... so just try and keep it at a cooler temp... it will also be what he's used to so it's not as bad as it usually would be. However, drop the temp. gradually, don't do it quickly. Again, that will kill him.
