Really!!! I never knew that! Maybe I'll get one if I ever need the quarantine tank again! I wish my dad kept the house that warm! His philosophy is "if you're cold, put a dang sweater on!" lol He's not as mean as you think. :)

eh... if you can't find any thing else it's better than nothing. :) Or you could just grab a larger tank if you have the room~ kritter keepers work great~ and you won't have to worry about heater malfunction.

I'll have to find a fish store... they will probably have something... I usually just go to PetCO or PetSmart... maybe my dad knows of a specialty fish store nearby...

I'm glad to see that you got your betta in his new home. Don't get that heater. I bought that heater a few weeks ago and it didn't heat the water. Maybe it was a defective one, but I felt it was a cruddy product.

I got this heater http://www.petsmart.com/product/inde...ductId=3792732. It's been working, keeping the temperature 76-80 degrees. I also have the same one gallon jar and the heater fits nicely inside. (I really need to post a picture)

Just make sure to get a thermometer to make sure your heater is working properly.
