I had an extra large broad leaf silk plant set from Smith Foster, and decided to cut a few "branches" off.
They are flexible & have no sharp edges, so I stuck the "stem" of one under the tank lid,
so it doesn't sink down...the lid then is closed on top of it, securing it in place. :)
I put one in Massaman's, Dexter's, and Danny Boy's tanks...The first two are in love with the
new "sleeping quarters"! Dexter is now floating vertically (head down) under it...LOL
The pros are, you don't have to worry about a suction cup slipping, and you can twist them any way
looks best for your tank.
