Hi Everybody!

I am new to this forum, but not to fishkeeping. I have had a 10 gallon with five guppies, but totally did it all wrong. However, when I moved, I gave it away and decided to get a betta, since I had been into the idea of one for a while. Needless to say, I thought they were amazing fish with loads of personality, since I did my research and got him a five gallon tank, heated and filtered, with an anubias and a little cave, with a few silk plants. He's happy and thriving, and was, truely, my gateway fish. Right now, the fish, cleverly named Mr. Fishy, is happy and thriving. A close up of him is below, along with a shot of his current tank. I found my little guy at Walmart, while I was browsing. That's right, Walmart. My Walmart can have some beautys, and I couldn't leave him there, to be bought for a little, 0.5 gallon tank. I am happy to be here, and hope you guys are happy to have me!

Hi and welcome! He is beautiful, my walmart only sells crown tails and kings, and usually only blue/black, so you got an awesome boy!

Exclamation Welcome

Hello! Good luck with your new betta! I just wanted to warn you about something. I think I have seen that beehive decoration on a thread that said it was dangerous (paint chipped off)It might not have been the same one but I suggest that you keep an eye on it just in case.

Thanks for the warning! I will keep an eye on it, and if it bubbles, I'll take it out. It's so adorable though, I might have to put a layer of aquarium silicone over it to lock in the paint
