betta torn fins/fight

Hi I have a 10g divded tank and when I was doing a 50% water change I left the room to bring in the fresh water and my two guys were fighting! I'm not sure how long they were fighting but one of em jumped the divider. I stuck my hand in and gently put one on the other side.
SOme of their fins have been torn right now they are both hiding/resting what should I do? I feel so terrible I dont even know how he jumped the water was so low!!

I'm so sorry that happened! I would just keep their water clean and keep an eye on them. Also, make sure that the divider is secure and that the water level is low enough so they can't jump it. Bad boys! lol

I know I was so upset lol! I couldn't even believe he managed to jump over. The water level is actaully alot hgher now thats how it usually is. The tank has a cover/light ontop its a 10g tank and the cover actaully touches the top of the divider so now it is physically impossible for them to jump over.

Do you think they will heal back up?

edit: they were able to do this cause the top wasnt on at all because I was about to add clean water after doing the gravel vacc etc.
