Or the Aqueon... Baffled with a scrubby sponge tucked under the filter lid slows the current enough in my 10G's... Aqueon Aquarium Power Filters at PETCO

Um, I'm pretty sure you still need to use water conditioner while cycling. Otherwise any chlorine/chloramines your tap water has could kill your bacterial colony.

I've never used it in any of my tanks and never had any problem, but maybe im just lucky lol

Here are three filters that I chose. If you want to add another filter to the list just tell me. The filter that gets the most votes is probably the one I will get.

I also have a Tetra Whisper 10 and 20i, they both work great and are very quiet...Just require a bit more effort to baffle. :)
