Oldfishlady - Thrift shops are a good idea! I wish the ones around here carried aquariums but they rarely do. 5.99 for all that is an AMAZING deal!! Great find.

eclover09 - I was just as excited!! I had the same reaction. lol

skypros - yeah the heater is a necessity. Should I change the bulb too? It doesn't seem too bright to me but I'm no expert on lighting.

lmao- i dont go to thrift shops often because i dont have the time. BUT- goodwill often has huge fishbowls. My mom saw a 5 gallon one last saturday there, and i bought a 3 gal a few months ago
