New Betta

Well finally after much waiting we have a new betta. He is red. We bought him because we just couldn't leave him in that small cup with less then 8 ounces of water. Still not sure what type he is as his tail isn't opened up yet. We got him last Thursday and yesterday I noticed a lot of foam/bubbles in the corner spreading out on one side of the tank. He seems to be doing well and is eating. He comes to the front of the tank when he sees us and goes right to the top of the water when he knows we are going to feed him. We are working on a name since our 5 year old has different ideas on what a fish should be called. She wants Carla. hehe

Nope Carl will not do. She is 5 and very strong in her decisions.

Sounds like he's settling in nicely - and even making a bubble nest! Can't wait to see pics of him when he's settled in more and you can tell what type he is.

I say stick with the first name she came up with, it's the one that impacts her first.

Carla is a good name, i have a tendency to end all my names with an 'a'.
