Carson's Home

Hi, this is my first post here. This is my betta fish's tank setup:

10 Gallon tank
Heater
Ping Pong ball to play with
Floaty Log thing with breather hole
Bridge thing
Ruins columns decoration
Plant bulbs that are supposed to sprout

Anyone have any thoughts on his setup?

Nice tank, but maybe get some more plants, real or fake, for your betta to hide in. I imagine he gets a bit bored in there :/ The more full the tank is, the funner for your betta :D

looks good so far! you might want to look into a filter, but if he's gonna be in there by himself, it won't be a major issue. also, you might wanna get some silk plants (or better yet, live) to give hime more things to explore and entertain him. it'll also make the tank much prettier and fun to look at! (it'll also give him some more places to rest in when he sleeps) i'm currently in the middle of trying to figure out how to decorate my 10 gal with plants, and it's so much fun! i bet you'd love it too, haha. :)

oh, i just noticed, i like how you left the water level low, yay!!! good for you to remember that! ah, and i haven't mentioned yet what a pretty betta boy you've got! hehe :D

Thanks for your thoughts guys!
I'll probably invest in some fake plants to put in there, at least until the real ones grow some more.

you're welcome! :) you might want to check walmart, they sometimes have fairly cheap packs of silk plants. i've also see people with just plain old silk plants, like from Micheals, and those might be cheaper than the ones specifically for aquariums, and they should be safe if boiled, but you might want to search around for that.

hmmm, I wouldn't use craft store plants, colors might leek out or something since they are not made for aquariums. you can get cheap plants from walmart, (in the fish isle, not crafts )
