Congrats on catching your betta. It might be a bit stressful for him to go through the ordeal again, but not as stressful than him being sick for the next few weeks. It will probably easier to catch him in the smaller 1g HT. He might fade for a few minutes but he should recover fine after the treatment.

Ugh I agree, Nettle is the only one of mine that is a loser about letting me cup him.. I usually start siphoning in another part of the tank and when he comes to the surface to check it out nab him quick.

I agree with small fry, better to do what you have to do for him being sick.
