Should I feed the male?

Guys, I just took out the female from the spawning tank. Should i feed the male? I'm afraid he will eat the eggs when he gets hungry.

Someone told me you shouldn't feed him because he will then want to eat the eggs. But, I don't know. I'm still preparing everything to spawn me bettas, so, I'm also VERY interested in this question.

Some say feeding them encourages them to eat the eggs and others say feeding them will keep them from eating the eggs. He may be too busy tending the nest to even think about eating.

IME good fathers will not eat the eggs no matter what while bad fathers/egg eaters will always eat the eggs though they are fed.
Most of mine wouldn't eat during the whole breeding process. I always leave some live tubefix in the breeding tub.

I feed before, during and after- but I feed live foods so they go after what ever I put in the tank and like what Indjo posted...if they are going to eat the eggs they will eats the eggs regardless of being fed or not...

I always feed mine. I've never had one that won't eat yet. It's pretty funny to watch them go for food and watch them spit out five or six babies before eating LOL

Thank you for the advice! I guess I'll have to discover if my male is an egg-eater! Hope he's not!
