Breeding issues lately

So for the past two spawns ive had(differnt males) my males eggs seem to go bad after a day and a half in the nest. Theres a light tanish tint to them and look almost fuzzy.

WATER:
3-4 gal's of water in a 10 gal tankI put home made betta spa in the water along with the water conditioner.

HEAT: submersiable set at 85

COVER ON TANK: None

Hmm.. that happened with my Blue male the first time I spawned him.

Maybe try adding a couple drops of Maroxy to the tank. I've heard it helps prevent eggs from getting fungus but I've never tried it.

I keep my tanks covered to keep humidity in. I don't really think that would cause your eggs to go bad but it's something to try.

Are the males tending the nests or leaving them alone? With Tallahassee he abandoned the nest and that's what I think caused them to rot.
