This thread is for breeding pair discussion. This could help newer breeders by telling them your expectations of the fry colors, and possible bad traits in the parents. Please, only use Constructive criticism, and don't be mean.

Example: *pic of Hunchbacked fish* Would this be good for breeding?

Bad: That fish is hideous, of course you shouldn't breed it.
Good: I'm sorry, but your fish has a hunchback, and shouldn't be bred.

So, just post pics of your breeding pair or possible breeding pair off aquabid and ask wether your fish is worthy of breeding, or what the fry will look like.

Good Idea! I'm not into breeding myself but love to snoop around on people who are breeding, like what their pairs look like, what their expecting out of this spawn and what the babies turn out like.

It could be very helpful to get good constructive criticism from experienced breeders.

Okay, I'll be the first. I already asked in another thread before this one was made but I'll post it here.

What do you guys think about this female? (Form/finnage/color etc wise)

I'm not to fond of her color, but her fins look excellent. The only thing I can see that is bad with her fins is reduced webbing. Slightly like a combtail. Though that could be good, depending on what you are breeding for.

Thanks. I see that now, and I don't think it really matters that much considering how much some have. The only problem I see is that I can't tell if she has a good body shape because she's so FAT!

Well, now that I look she is a marble. She will probably have excellent colors if she changes. Though I do like her fin color, and the little spots. Her body looks fairly good, no hunchback.

She comes from a good breeder, has nice fins, ok color but she is marble. 100% good for breeding IMO.

That's a decent female. Fins could be better but if paired with a nicely finned male she could be a good breeder. Does seem kind of short bodied to me so I wouldn't pair her with a double tail.

Thanks all of you, in all likelihood I won't be getting her anyway but just wanted to see if I should think about it. I know what I'm looking for mostly but I need some clarification :D
