How do I remove my Betta from a container?

I dont grab him with my hand I just use my hand to "herd" the fish into the cup, grabbing a Betta barehanded is a baaaaaaaaaad idea

That kind of stuff happens in my dorm all the time, and people think the fish advice I give is stupid until their fish dies I actually had one friend that was keeping goldfish in TERRIBLE conditions, and I told her they were going to die. She actually never told me when they died a week or so later, I had to find out from other sources that they were dead cause she didn't want to admit it to me

Have another friend that's practically torturing a betta, and she won't give it to me or let me help her. Doesn't want to "hurt her sorority sister's feelings". *sigh*

Apparently, all the sororities at my school are giving their new pledges betta fish. Yay for joining a social club that promotes animal torture! *woooooooo*
