I actually heard that they don't get along very well, so I would go against getting some. They're genetically engineered from Zebra Danios, and have been known to be the occasional fin nipper to a very aggressive one.
However, if you keep them in a school of 6+, it does lower their aggression somewhat. That being said, if you have a 5 gallon tank, it's way too small. The rule of thumb is 1 gallon per inch per fish. So say you have six one inch zebra danios. You need six gallons. Then you add a sorority of female bettas...which many recommend 5-6. We'll also assume that they're about an inch, so that's another 5-6 gallons. Realistically, you'd need a 15 gallon tank for everything to live comfortably (taking note that decorations and plants take up a variable amount of tank space). And a lot of hidey holes.
