Dwarf Gourami's

I REALLY want to get some. I was thinking ten or 15 gallon, heavily planted, two males, and maybe a female. I would make a natural territory border by planting heavily in the middle. I could add female betta's depending on their personalities.

I think if you were to have dwarfs, they would have to be in pairs (1 male to 1 female) in a 15 gallon tank minimumally.

Dwarfs are closely related to bettas so they should not be added to the same tank. Remember, dwarfs are semi-aggressive, so research tankmates carefully before adding.

Well, I've been researching for a while. What I've found is that males can be kept together if heavily planted, although it all depends on their personality. The most common minimum is one fish in a five gallon. Males and females can/can't be housed together, all depends on your specific fish. And, they can go along with female betta's, if they have a decent personality.

The only problem with personalities is that you don't know which one you have until you take it home, and you wouldn't want to take a fish back.
