What works for me is hot de-chlorinated hot/warm water, when you stir it I find it dissolves a lot faster, just make sure the water has cooled before adding your betta lol that kinda goes without saying though haha

i pour a warm cup of 2 tBs aq (dissolved) in my 10g slowly and stirring the aquarium...
as in my other thread, the rest of my bettas in that 10g is gasping for air.....
and both of their outside gills has bright silver/ red vertical stripes.

I put it in a jug or cup first, not straight into the aquarium!
Do you have a filter or air stone in the tank?? the stripes could be stress stripes, however I have only ever seen these on females, so I'm not 100% certain whether it could be the same with males, plus female stress stripes are on their body!

What's tail biting? When other fish bite the tails of bettas or when a betta bites his own tail?

thats what i said...
i dissolved the 2 tablespoon aw with warm water in a cup first then slowly pour it into my 10g aquarium.

Daily water changes and aquarium salt will fix him right up, and heathy food's too.

If ur Betta is ok with aquarium salt, bettafix is not needed and long term use of bettafix causes harm to his breathing organ.
For that reason AQ salt is suggested.
