Not at all. =( He's refusing food. I've tried pellets and bloodworms. Hard to give a high protein diet when he won't eat. He stays at the top of the tank and every once in awhile tips to the side a bit...I'm wondering if it's his swim bladder? I'm going to do a water change here in a little while before I go to work. But my frog and other betta need a water change too. *sigh* this is why I dont need more fish! I feel sorry for him though so I really hope I can get him to eat...

just keep up with the water changes and keep offering food. some guys wont eat for a day or two when they get in a new environment. the tilting makes me nervous because my girl jasmine was like that the 2 days before she died and she was really torn up like this guy from a failed sorority. You have to be absolutely vigilant with your water changes with this guy. dirty water poses a huge risk of infection and complications

That poor guy!! He looks so miserable and beaten up, makes me want to cry!! I agree with the advice given, crystal clean water, aquarium salt, high protein diet, and keep him somewhere dark and warm so he doesn't stress.

When I worked at walmart many years ago there were many times when I would get to work and someone had put 2 or more bettas in a cup. There was even one time when someone took one of the bowls off the self and dumped all of the bettas (there were like 6 males left) into the bowl!

Why do people think things like that are funny? It is bad enough 1 Betta has to live in those little cups.

Thats horrible Miharu! I cant believe someone would think that was funny. Makes me sick. Half of my guys caudal fin has fallen off. If you look in the pick the end was barely hanging on at some points and today it all fell off. Freaky! On a happier note the pieces that remain of his dorsal fin have turned a really pretty light blue. He still hasn't eaten anything and when I just checked on him he'd wedged himself head first towards the bottom of tank...vertical between heater and tank wall...

I really hope he's going to make it! =/
