I got our velvet (veil tail betta fish) six months ago and it grew twice its size since we brought and is about three inches long now. It gets active whenever we approach the tank and it has a very good apetite. I usually feed her twice about five pellets each time.
About three months ago when we first kept some decorative stuff in the aquarium our velvet became inactive and got some bacterial disease which was taken care of. However, recently I saw it floating like dead on the water surface and when disturbed became active again, I remember giving frozen blood worms to her on that day which was not the fist time though. I observed that since that day a small bump is visible on its left side which is increasing. It seems like the bump is originating from inside since there is no sign of wound or infection on her skin. Any idea what this growing stuff is? Is this some kind of tumor?
All the suggestions from you pros will help me make my velvet healthy again.
