I like making logs
So here's one
for my NPTs (Natural Planted Tanks)
I've gotten 8 stalks of Anarchis and
3 java ferns. At first I didn't rinse them
well enough and lots of leaves and rotten
stem pieces were floating all over in my
tanks. I tried for 10 minutes to root all
8 stems of Anarchis in the little cup of
gravel in Neons tank. Meanwhile, I just
floated all the Java ferns in Velvets tank,
rushing around panicked because the
Anarchis was being difficult. At first I
thought I had 2 java ferns, but turns
out that I got a free one! One of the
ferns was two javaferns that were tied
I gave up on the Anarchis in Neons tank
and tried to net the majority of the debris.
I gave up and just did a 100% waterchange,
now that thet Anarchis had been washed
off in Neons tank I safely floated it in
Velvets tank. So, all 11 plants were floating
in Velvets tank and Neon was in a bowl. I
went on here and decided to split the
Anarchis, 4 stems for each tank, and float
the healthiest looking java fern in Neons tank.
Okay, so my tanks don't have plant debris.
I had been planning on moving a desklamp
with a 20w curly bulb, but no one was
getting a decent amount of time for light.
So I dragged out my other lamp and put
in a 9w lightbulb and set it next to Velvets
1.75 gallon tank. Neon gets extra wattage,
20 watts for a 2.5 gallon tank with low light
plants! All through I've been cleaning some
beautiful 1/4 inch rock thingys for substrate.
I'm planning on anchoring 2 stems of
Anarchis in each tank and float 2 and root
the java ferns.
The first day has been plant chaos
probably bored you to death so you didn't
finish reading, but if you did thanks for reading
it! More updates to come tomarrow! Pics:
