Sharpie Marker?

I was gettin an old cup to change Bloom's water with, and I labled it with sharpie marker. Is it safe?

Sharpie markers are safe to mark on the outside of bags or containers. Keep in mind that sharpies are permanent markers.

I think it would be alright, as long as the water the fish is in isn't directly against the ink. If you wrote on the outside I would think it would be alright.

... I think if the outside of the cup goes into the water for when they do water changes or hold the Betta for short periods. So... short time water contact.

I've stuck a bottle cap into the tank labeled with Sharpie. No bad effects! It had been dried on there for over a week, however.

As long as its non toxic, and your not try to color you fish lol, it should be ok if its dry before hand.

i would stop using it when the sharpie starts to rub off, i could dissolve a bit at a time in the water, but if its non toxic it shouldnt do much damage longterm. using carbon would help
