Since Friedrich has just died on the 17th, I was debating on whether or not I was going to get another betta or just transfer my frogs into the planted five gallon.

Well, I was galavanting around my LFS and ran into a tiny salamander HM plakat with white lips who kept staring at me as I helped my friend pick out a brand of water conditioner.

I think most of you can guess that he is currently zooming around the planted tank, hopefully learning not to eat snails.

He is such the opposite of Friedrich. Stuffed full of energy and bothering everything in the tank. Ate as soon as I got him home and zips up to the glass whenever my face appears. I think I'm going to call him Ampere, because he's so fast.

Yeah, he's insane. I'm watching from across the room and I can see him annoying a snail again. I gotta hurry up and get some toys in there. :l

Put a hamster tube in there. They love to swim through those, and he won't get stuck in it like he might in a cave, if he's a big guy.

Oh, he's tiny! xD But a hamster tube is actually a really good idea. I think I'll try that. In the meantime he'll have to make due with the betta log.

I love HMPKs for that reason! They have so much personality and are much more energetic.

I was originally going to go for a HM, but this little guy just stole my attention immediately! While it is a little sad that I won't get to see how his fins grow out, he's just so adorable without the fins that I think I'll manage. ;)

Since he's tiny, you should also get him a rainbow rock cave from Walmart. My Crownie LOVES his. He's always going in and out of it!

Oh believe me, he certainly is! At least, I think so... that's why I went to this particular LFS, they have great selection on everything! It was a bit of an off-day for them yesterday as that goes, but they still had this little guy and I was more than happy to scoop him up.
