Please help!

Please help my Betta fish. He is eating well just not as active as he used to be. I have no idea what those white spots are. I have used betta fix to treat him but it seems no luck. Temperature is at 82 degrees.
Thanks a lot!

First off... Welcome to the forum!
Second that looks just like ich. You need to get an anti fungal treatment for ich which should contain malachite green . And raise the temperature to about 85*-88 when treating him. And if its stringy like then its velvet. But ich looks like salt grains. From what I know ich occurs when the fish is stressed such as a sudden temperature change. Ich is a protazoan that attaches to the fishes skin developing a cyst raising the temp will speed up the "hatching" of free swimming ich mico-organisms where malachite green can kill them. You can only kill them when they are free swimming. Also aquarium salt suffices as a more natural treatment.
