Ammonia Levels

I'm just curious if there is a way to test the ammonia levels in my fish tank... I'm worried that I haven't been cleaning enough and that the ammonia levels will get too high.

I have a 1.5 gallon tank with a whisper filter, and I clean the tank every Sunday and Wednesday. (I know the tank size should be larger, but I can't get a bigger tank at the moment...)

Yup! Get an ammonia testing kit :D I suggest the one by Aquarium Pharmaceuticals - works great for my 2.5 aquarium. It's a liquid testing kit. I have never tried the strip ones, but I hear they're junk.

Great! Thanks. How expensive are ammonia testing kits normally? I don't want to have to spend too much since my funds are kind of limited. XD

I think the AP one I mentioned was just under $10 - but it lasts like 130 tests, you you'll never need to buy another one! ;)
