Finny and His Tank! Epic Picspam! BEWARE!

Anyway. I finally got around to getting a bunch of decent pictures of Finny and his 14 gallon tank :D He's got it all to himself, though he used to have 6 neon tetra buddies, but those all died off >,< I dont have access to any petstores since I live out in the boonies, 3 hours away from any city, so I haven't gotten any new friends for him yet. I'd like to get cories, but that'll have to wait until the weather warms up for me order online. Or until we make another stock run to the city ;D Any comments on my tank are appreciated :D Keep in mind that his fins are shredded because he had a filter intake accident, and not to worry, I've since put a nylon stocking on it ;D Oh, and my camera is pretty bad. Not the best camera out there, thats for sure :/ ALSO, IGNORE THE CLOTHES AROUND THE TANK. The power goes out alot here, so I have to keep the tank insulated a bit for if the power goes out for a whole day or something... it happens. It helps keep his water warm at night anyway, since I turn off my room heater at night. Yes, his tank has a heater though ;D

That tank looks awesome! You even gave him a pot to hide in too!
Cory's would look awesome all around the bottom of that, but I heard that they people prefer to give them sand rather than gravel because they won't damage their barbs on it. Doesn't mean you can't get them though.
If you have a gas stove, you could always heat up some water and use a hot water bottle to heat his tank, in case the power is out for too long. Just watch the temp, you wouldn't want it to heat up too fast or too high.

Thanks :D He never uses the pot though >,> at least never when I'm looking... Yeah, I knew about the cories prefering sand too, so thats also why I figured I'd wait until I can get to a petstore to get sand rather than buying the cories online right away. Good idea about the hot water bottle, only I have a pellet stove, not a gas one xD But I could put him near the stove in a pinch possibly, but I havent lived here long enought to know if the power will ever be out that long. Thanks for the advice :D

Thanks :D My cat swats at Finny normally though >.> She'll sit on the lid of the tank looking down onto the front of it, see him, and just smack the tank. XD
