Quick fin question..Look?

I bought Macceroni today at Petsmart. He was in decentish water and is (was) active, sweet and will flare nooo problema.
BUT! I saw right away his fins were a bit uneven, especially these fins:

Is it fin rot, or just his fins? Theyre not reddish or dark, so Idk. I have aquarium salt in his tank atm and have dealt with it before, but I wanna make sure I nip it in the butt and keep him QT'd before putting him with Alle..
He also has a bunch of dark greyish scales on his side, which I think could be old burns:

Alle had them and they went away, mostly, so Im hoping these will too for him. He's in good hands now and will have constant monitoring and water changes :3
Anyone see anything to a fin rotting/disease effect? :o

What a lovely fella you found...the black on his body looks like normal pigmentation the fins are rough but nothing that fresh, clean, dechlorinated water won't fix with some frequent water changes, proper water temp and good/improved nutrition...

If you have a filter you may want to turn that off for a week or so along with some daily 50% water changes...

Thank you! I couldnt resist his sweetness. It worked with my other dal, so here's hoping hes just as smart and sweet!
I dont have a filter in that tank right now (he's in a temp tank atm, about 76-9' water, fresh and clean with a bit of salt/gal.) and will have water changes as you said. He's got a good conditioner in there, too, and a good bit of slime coat additive. I think it'll go well :D
