Question Breed for the frist time!

Ok.. i'm new to breeding bettas and my frist attempt is going well the male is tending the eggs the water is clean and around 80 degrees

but i'm worried about how long should i wait before adding the female back into the tank with the other girls ?

i don't want her to go crazy with to much going on after what she went through ..

I think Bettasteve means when to add the female bag to her sorority. I would give her a week to heal in a Quarantine tank if she has an injuries. Also to fatten her up and bring her strength back, spawning is stressful.

You also might want to add her back in when its feeding time, should distract the girls from tearing her up.

If the female has injuries, give her at least a week or 2 of tlc in a tank of her own. If it was a gentle spawn with no or minimal injury, you might could add her back to sorority right away. To be safe, you could put her in a breeder net if you are worried she might get bullied.

My current alpha female went right back into the sorority tank after mating. The other femfish get antsy when shes missing.

I would keep her out for at least a week. I placed my female back in to the sorority right after spawning and noticed she was very week. She wasn't able to get to food as quick as the other females. I currently have her in a quarantine so she can regain strength.
