3 gallon waterchanges.

I have Blush, my female, in a 3 gallon Pet Keeper. She is an extremely nervous/excitable fish. I was wondering how often I need to do water changes for her. I really don't want to have to take her out of the tank more than necessary. Is once a week okay because of her small bio-load? It's not filtered. I'm just wondering since I don't want to upset her more than necessary. Thanks!

Personally, in a tank that small I would do a 25% water change every 4-5 days. You don't have to remove the fish to do a water change though, that would just stress your fish out even more.

Sorry, but that's too little. I need to at least do a 100% water change each week.

Yea, you are probably right. I usually do lots of small water changes to reduce stress though, it works very well for me anyway, but I know a few people who do a few big water changes, like 75-100% every other week and their fish are fine. Just do whatever works best for you. Have you considered just doing a 50% water change every 3-4 days instead?

It's easier just to do a 100% WC for me. Also, she gets freaked out if I put my hand in the tank, so cleaning it while she is in it isn't an option. She tends to jump when she gets scared, and has ended up on the floor/desk a few times.

Oh Dear, perhaps you should stick to the once a week thing then, at least until she calms down some.

Maybe do 50% mid-week, then 100% at the end of a week - that's usually the schedule for 2.5 gallons. I suppose you don't really know until you test for ammonia to see how fast it accumulates in that tank, though!
