I prefer not to use pimafix for this reason:

http://www.fishlore.com/fishforum/be...6-pimafix.html

Pimenta racemosa 1.0%.
"main ingredient is "Pimenta racemosa", which is West Indian Bay Tree, or, Bay Rum. It says Clove is a related species, but Clove is a different species, "Syzygium aromaticum"."

Although it's a different species, it still is related to Clove Oil...which is used to euthanize fish. I like to be safe than sorry.

And it suggests to use melafix along with it.

Melafix has Melaleuca...it's a tea tree oil. It can actually cause strain on your fish's labyrinth and make it suffocate.

Honestly, I have gotten the best results with OFL's Aquarium Salt and water change treatment with IAL. I use Maracyn for extremely severe infections that doesn't go away after these treatments. If you're going to use medication other than Maracyn, finish the Maracyn treatment first. I highly recommend not using Pima/Melafix, but that is your choice. Never, ever mix and match medications and never stop a treatment short - it can create resistance problems.

Thanks so much again! Klaus tried to jump out of the tank today, but other than that he seems to be a bit better :]
