Question Betta compatability

We were given a young female Betta. I understand male fish do not like company. How about female Bettas. She seems quite social. Any suggestions on what would make a good tank buddy for her? Thanks

Do you have multiple females in the same tank? How do they get along?

Thanks. How many females in your tank? Do they seem to get along?

I have 6 females in a 10gal, and as females go they have their moments of calm mixed with hissy-fits lol now and then.

How big is your tank? Most bettas are social with people, but some will kill anything. And I wouldn't recommend getting more than 1 female. Most sororities (more than 1 female group) crash in 6 months if they are non related. The stress and disease get them.

I have to agree with shinybetta. I would say 8 out of 10 non-related female sororities do not work out for various reasons.

How big is your tank and what is the heating/filtration like? That will have a big effect on what sort of tankmates you can have or even if you can have them at all.
