Kate/Balthasar The Androgy-fish

The snow fell heavy
And the air was cold
But thy seeming health
Made the world seem made of gold.
Thy strength helped our hope.
The mystery of thy sex
Baffling as Gordian rope.
When one went home
We gave thee the larger jar,
Compared to the "bubble"
The sterile bowl spanned far.
What was it then,
That ended thee?
Thou were happy,
Swimming free,
Then in hours left us misery.
To the river we then went,
Thy sister's energy also spent,
We fed thee both to funeral fire,
Where Poet and Bard of defeat did tire.
When the river thaws may it take thee far
Adieu, monsieur Kate/Balthasar
