2 of my platy fry have survived in my 10 gallon tank. They no longer will fit in my betta's mouth lol. So having a betta doesn't necessarily qualify as "birth control". But then again, my tank is heavily planted.

Thanks for the tips! unfortunately it looks like i won't be able to put any plati in with any of my bettas. I tried out cherry shrimp and dwarf frogs. first I tried the female she would charge and then stop right before she got to the shrimp and later on I saw he chasing them around the tank and the adf when ever the came up for air. So I took her out and introduced my male betta; right away he attacked the frogs. I have one more male betta to try out, but at this point I'm not very optimistic.

Snails? Get a mystery snail cuz I think they need two to tango unlike most

Mystery snails are only takes one. but you can scrape out the eggs before they hatch
