You need to be doing 100% daily water changes in a tank that small, don't go off of what the water looks like. No matter what, you should be doing regular daily water changes, especially if you want the fins to heal.

I know what I'm doing, I do 50% partial water changes every day, and tomorrow I might get a tank with a real filter that won't tear my bettas fins up. I am already seeing improvement in fin growth. :)

If you have a 1.5, theres no need for a filter because it wont help your water changes any because a 1.5 wont cycle :) Also, only use Aq Salt for a maximum of ten days ;D

Havn't gotten any aquarium salt yet. His fins are doing fine on thier own, so I don't want to start the salt and daily 100% water changes. I am looking into a new tank, and I really just want a filter to keep the water cleaner and get the big junk in the tank. Hopefully I'll get that for him soon. :)

You should be doing daily water changes anyways because your tank is so small.
