Red face An Orc looks prettier then Girlie lol

I just finished transferring Girlie to her main qt hold after having her in the little salt bath cup this morning for her popeye. I had just woke up and was feeding the girls when i noticed she wasnt joining the frenzy with the others but keeping to the corner by the heater so i looked closer and seen this puffy, somewhat ***** looking eye and distended belly so immediately i found the little cup i first bought her in and placed in alittle bit of aq salt and a drop of stress guard and gently coached her into it which was difficult. i left it floating in the main tank and prepared the 1gal tupperware for a more permanent qt tank that i can place in the 10gal to keep warm.
omg it scared me when i seen her eye but hope she gets better, it was gross, all puffy and looked like it was starting to puss-up along the bottom and her belly looked horribly distended. I really dont know what else to do but the clean water and aq salt.

None of my Bettas have ever had popeye, so I personally do not know how to treat it. But I know BettaTalk.com has a list of diseases and their treatments, including popeye.
I hope she recovers.

Aww, I'm sorry about Girlie. You can try epsom salt for the dropsy but I don't know what dosage is needed.

Im sorry to say but Girlie has passed acouple days ago the only hard part was trying to explain it to my youngest why her fish wasnt in the tank anymore
She did have the best care i could give her before the inevitable happened.
Thanks to all the experts here i now have the knowledge to catch this if any of the others develop the symtoms of this disease and others.

I feel so bad.. I remember coming into my room when I was very young (about six or seven) and finding my little Prince wasn't going to make it... he was floating head first, I screamed and my parents came in.. we never had a betta fish ever again until now. Im now 11 and I can say that it was a rough time for me (and the fish..) Any way you can make her feel better? Like picking a fish out online? (or in a store?)
