Ok. I'll be going to the pet store soon so I'll just buy it when I get my betta for the other side of the divider, he is probably going to be in QT while I fix the alge problem though. :)

Alright guys, I tested the water with a kit. Suprisingly, everything was low, the ammonia is a bit higher, but I am overdue on a water change. Nitrates and nitrites were really low. I couldn't find any seachem excel. Is Tetra Algae Control any good? I don't want to be poisoning any fish.

Make sure your dad will let you do regular water changes before you get a new fish.

Tetra products are generally not very good.

Blast. The water conditioner works pretty well, and the Algae Control the only thing they had at petsmart. :/

I heard ya. Cirrus has been in there for a while now, and I don't have any extra QT tanks, excluding the lil' guy's cup. I'm gonna do a 50% change tomorrow.

Oh, and I decided just to throw the hornwort out. I am sticking with silk plants. Plus, I always have my beautiful Java fern and Anubias.

Is your dad letting you do regular water changes a few times a week? If not don't get the new fish yet.
