No more gravel for Sequin!

I decided to take the gravel out of Sequin's Kritter Keeper. He seems MUCH happier. I don't know why I ever re-added it. He seems entranced by the bare bottom, and keeps gliding along it with his belly to the floor. Here are some pictures!

How nice! Looks very neat and his behavior is so funny!
I like bare bottoms for non-cycled tanks better... the water quality will always be better without gravel because you can never wash that stuff enough!

Thanks. I love it. Now water changes won't be so much of a hassle, and he has more space to swim!

to me a bare-bottom aquarium would be easier to maintain because gravel cleanings are taken out of the equation completely

I never use a gravel vacuum for his tank anyway. I always take the gravel out and rinse it. It was just easier for some reason. But now I won't have to deal with it.

I did the same thing. After buying and putting black gravel in the tank, I took it out in a week. And I don't know why I put it in there in the first place!! I'm much happier, it's easy to clean, and Brooke doesn't know the difference! Shhhh!!

I took out my gravel and glass rocks because it was becoming a hassle to clean.
